We hope you had a good start to your summer and once again, our heartfelt congratulations to all of you who graduated!

During the summer, our weekly newsletter takes a hiatus but in this message we're sharing a few pieces of information.

IO & UN Internship Preparation

As many of you are preparing for summer internships at international organizations, IO/UNS director, Professor Daniel Naujoks offers a platform to exchange on pointers on what to focus on. Regardless if you are doing a classic in-person or a remote internship, the meeting provides a space to share tips and insights and ask questions for all participants.

Join us on Wednesday May 29, 10am-11am for a discussion that will focus on your key goals and touch on what skills should you aim at building, how to use internships as a platform for robust networking? How should you influence the assignments you get? What do consider for virtual internships?

The discussion aims at helping you to proactively steer your activities, skill building and networking endeavors in the right direction.

12th University Scholars Leadership Symposium

Bangkok, August 6-9, 2024

Over the years, we have had the honor of hosting students from prestigious institutions like Hong Kong University, Johns Hopkins University, McGill University, Melbourne University, Princeton University, Stanford University, Seoul National University, University of Oxford, Tsing Hua University, University of Oxford and others, receiving considerable recognition and support. This year, we are excited to extend our invitation to students from your esteemed institution, anticipating their active engagement in the USLS.
The symposium will feature workshops conducted by UN officials from UNEP, IOM, UNHCR, and UN Women. Additionally, 10 UN agencies will host booths for student engagement. USLS will provide a unique opportunity for participants to undertake volunteer service learning during Kindness Day in locations supported by the Thai government.
The application deadline is May 23, 2024.
